I haven't seen it. But I did help build a fallout shelter in the early 60s. I lived through the Cuban Missile Crisis and learned to "duck and cover" and got thoroughly scared as a kid. I has stuck with me.

I also remember my Dad telling me that if a nuclear war happens, it will be easier on those who die than any survivors. he told me this when he was writing the nuclear civil defense plans for the State of California prison system.

I hope I never experience war, but I love hearing others tell of their own experiences. There is a certain power to re-telling a war experience that makes the listener shudder. Thank you.

I will look out for when the movie opens here and think of the shelter you built and what your father said. I hope we never get to experience it.

Maybe that is what this forum should try to do, besides arguing over news articles, people should share their stories of the Middle East conflict, how it affected them personally. Small everyday happenings. Memories. Dreams. it is about the people at the end of the day isn't it?

Very saddened by the loss of life in the last few days. I can't imagine how much more difficult it must be for the people in the region, to whom every life lost is a person they might know.
